I made the decision that my theme for this year would be gift giving from my heart. Last year as I had Christmas packages strewn around the living room and was trying to sort them for mailing, I found myself thinking like Scrooge. I decided that wasn’t really a very good way to enter into the Holiday Season!

Brill’s “Partridge in a Pear Tree” Christmas ornament has been part of the permanent collection of the White House since 1994; a Veterans’ Memorial monument, that Brill designed in 1989, still stands today in Constitution Park, Fort Lee, NJ.
Reina Mia Brill currently resides in New York City, where she is feverishly at work creating more fantastical creatures.

Naïve Art |

Naïve art is created by untrained artists. It is characterized by simplicity and a lack of the elements or qualities found in the art of formally trained artists.
The characteristics of naïve art are an awkward relationship to the formal qualities of painting; for example, difficulties with drawing and perspective that result in a charmingly awkward; strong use of pattern, unrefined color, and simplicity rather than subtlety are all supposed markers of naive art. It has become such a popular and recognizable style that many examples could be called pseudo-naïve.

My art... well, lets see, I am just a good ole' plain folk artist. I have had no schooling or training in my art. I ship my art the next day if possible, I don't think people should have to wait once they paid. I ship my art world wide. And you know what that means, people all over the world gets to see my art!
